    A fun workshop to help healthy food lovers get through the cold winter days is coming up... The Korean workshop by Younjeong Choi, our Korean chef, will smoothly introduce you to this cuisine. She will teach you authentic dishes as she learned from home. Tijdens de herfsteditie leer je oa deze gerechten maken:

     

    Korean Sushi, Kimbab

    Spicy chicken skewers with rice ball

    Kimchi pancake

    Koreaanse verse dumpling

     

    We will prepare these 4 dishes in the form of appetisers. These dishes can normally be seen in Korean cuisine. This is how to turn the beautiful spring days into something beautiful and campaign.

    Please bring your own knife, cutting board and apron.

    BIOGRAPHY by Youngeong:

    9038 km established in Busan, South Korea, I was born and raised. I grew up there, studied and ate there. After that first golden period of my life spent in the arms of my warm family, I followed love to Belgium. Here I went in search of a new second litter of my own.

    Two sons later, my passion for cooking, authentic Korean cuisine and the dishes of my childhood bubbled up again. Besides earning the recognised National Korean Food Certificate, I was able to get inspiration from famous Korean Chefs in different settings (Buddhist temples, recognised traditional institutes and public schools). Even here in Belgium at award-winning cookery schools in Ghent, Brussels and Bruges, I have been taking every opportunity to master new techniques for years. With that knowledge and experience in my pocket, I experimented to give traditional Korean dishes a contemporary twist.

    My home critics - my sons, my husband and my family - shared me to share my cooking skills and the rich, honest flavours from South Korea with you too.

    Youngeong works exclusively for Illie Mangaro!
    In addition, she is CHEF AT HOME.
    Youngeong also works for the Korean government in Belgium.
